The right packaging for all types of fruit and vegetables
Fruit and vegetables are sensitive foods. They need to be protected against mechanical influences, microorganisms, drying out and against the loss of aromas and their visual appearance. The right packaging must be chosen as early as at the producer's to supply fresh high-quality goods directly from the field. The appropriate packaging protects the goods against damage during transport and storage. These may be large boxes for heavy crops or corrugated cardboard trays that are already suitable for shops. Materials for specific requirements
Lots of fruit and vegetables are packed in plastic packaging because of their moisture properties. Plastic, such as cellophane, is also often used before the fruit & vegetables are packed in the plastic packaging. Alternatively special paper can be used to line the inside of fruit trays and vegetable cartons to prevent moisture getting into the packaging.
